I submitted an iOS app for Apple review and am uncertain on how best to fulfill Apple’s requested next steps. The app’s purpose is to continuously send user location and heart rate data from Apple Watch to a private cloud server so they can be monitored in real-time by a remotely located individual for health assurance purposes. The app itself does not have much of a UI, as its primary function is transmit data to the cloud and not require the user to interact with the app much, if at all. Apple’s feedback was as follows:‘We have started the review of your app, but we are not able to continue because we need access to a video that demonstrates location services in use. Please ensure the video you provide shows a physical iOS device (not a simulator).’It is not clear how I should record a video of location used on the end user mobile device, when in fact I am not displaying location on the iOS app. Again, I am primarily sending the location coordinates to a private cloud server for use on web displays by a separate user. Any guidance on how to address this feedback properly would be much appreciated.
