I have been doing development in Safari for months and prefer the developer tools to Chrome's. However, development has become extremely painful because it can take minutes to simply refresh a page when the develop tools are open. Finally, I did some experimenting and opened the same site in Chromium and found nowhere near the same slow-down, even with the dev tools open.
Is this normal? Should I abandon Safari? Will a new Macbook help at all?
