Account "under review" by "internal team" for 5 months. What do I do?

My MacOS app is one of those "gray" space apps--see https://truple.io/. Similar to parental control apps, I understand the privacy concerns involved, so last July when my developer account was revoked shortly after I submitted the app to be notarized so an "internal" team could review it, it made some sense to me. The problem is, it's now 5 months later, and there hasn't been any update. I've contacted apple through support, and they won't share anything other than "it's still under review by an internal team".

There are compeititors doing similar things on iOS and MacOS. It's quite frustrating that I'm being crippled by this--likely because I'm small where the competitors are multi-million dollar companies able to grab the appropriate attention.

I'm willing to make changes--willing to force certain privacy settings--etc. But I can't even have a conversation about it with anyone at Apple.

Does anyone have any advice? Does anyone from Apple look at these forums?

I'm not malicious. I'm sincerely trying to help people facing real problems. See the reviews at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.camhart.netcountable for an idea of the types of problems this app can help with.

devForums is mainly dev-to-dev. Review isn't here. All we can do is offer opinions. Mine is you need to keep waiting.

But honestly, if reviews in another store and self-endorsement were all it took to get into Apple's app stores, there would be no need for review, so you might want to go easy on that sort of promotion.

Good luck.
