If I remove a user from the "App Store Connect Users" group in TestFlight, can they continue to use the build version from TestFlight?

So I a curious and in the process of testing this, but when I remove someone from the App Store Connect User group in TestFlight, do they automatically lose the app on their device? Or can they continue to use that version without issue until the build expires?


Not sure if it would restore them to the version that is currently live on the app store, remove the TestFlight version only, or allow them to continue using the TestFlight version.


I can't seem to find a direct answer to this question anywhere.

This. Either on expiration or a new TF build.


The app needs to check in w/the backend, or expire based on it's local/on-device profile. The only effect on removing a user is they will not be included in future version testing. If the app checks in, and you've pushed a new build, that app will expire and be shut down the next time it pings the backend.


Removing a TF build will not 'restore' a store build.
