Photos shared as Adjustments.plist with no actual data (ios 13)

Hello,

I have noticed that after upgrade to ios 13 (iPhone XS) photos are shared to google drive (and skype too) as "Adjustments.plist" file with no actual media data inside but only XML inside. Here is example of such XML data:

"<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">

<plist version="1.0">

<dict>

<key>adjustmentBaseVersion</key>

<integer>0</integer>

<key>adjustmentData</key>

<data>

PY67DsIwDEX/5c4Z+oJK2dhgAQkkGBCDS1Ia1DRV4nap+u+kFLHZR/cee4LVTIqYICdY

Cqz9XptXw5BFkmfix25GcQOZJ1kh4LzRHRMb10FuZ4HaeUt81T58USowrvOhq90irgbT

quNgK+0hkZa7TVlCgPr+X0Lcw7PRls56NCtLBPqWeNHHgDldEI+Reg+BbfwgQN4f8wc=

</data>

<key>adjustmentEditorBundleID</key>

<string>com.apple.camera</string>

<key>adjustmentFormatIdentifier</key>

<string>com.apple.photo</string>

<key>adjustmentFormatVersion</key>

<string>1.4</string>

<key>adjustmentTimestamp</key>

<date>2019-09-26T14:42:41Z</date>

</dict>

</plist>

"

interestingly, that some photos shared as "Adjustments.plist" but with actual media data. Here is header of such files:

Is someone noticed same behaviour ?

How to fix this issue (I think this some kind of issue, not feature 🙂

Thank you !

Replies

Yes, i’m getting the same issue. When i try to send pictures through skype. It happened after upgrading to ios13

I’m having the same problem. Any fix for it?

I am also having this problem. I can no longer send images on Skype, they get sent as “adjustments.plist”. This is a pretty major issue, and now I’m starting to wonder what was actually in the file it sent and if there was any personal data. How is there no fix for this, Apple?

I’m having this same issue! Very frustrating!!!! Is there any fix?!

Yes. I had the same problem tonight after updating the IOS software to version 13.2. Eventually I rang google drive. He got me to uninstall my google drive app and re install it. It is now working in JPEG. I would expect this will be the same with Skype etc. Hope this helps everyone

I'm having the same issues opening these files on my laptop having exported them from my iPhone X
