$99 developer

All I want to do is write small programs for my own use. I do not want to sell anything on the App Store. If I pay the $99 developer fee and I do this. Can I create stand alone programs for my own use? Or should I stick with Xojo. I created programs with Realbasic years ago and need to re-write them in 64 bit code for Catalina and would like to do it with Apple.

Thank You

Dennis

Yes, and it might not be necessary to pay the $99 fee depending on what functionality you need to employ.

What platforms? Just macOS?

While it's not required to have a paid account, Xcode's free provisioning allows you to build basic applications.

See this thread [how i can have free Developer Program ] with an already moderated link that explains Xcode's free provisioning process (with screenshots; tends be mobile device-centric) - be sure to read all the way thru it and any updates at the bottom. Also be sure to note the link to what you can/can't do based on account type.

Good luck.
