10.14.6 Beta Restore failing need beta profile

I installed 10.15 Beta on a machine, and decided to roll it back.

Various things went sideways and the best option was to wipe the HD and do a clean restore of a backup.

The backup fails because the OS installed is 10.14.5 and not the backups 10.14.6 Beta.

So I am trying, and so far failing to get the 10.14.6 installed. It seems I need to have Beta program profile installed on the machine. to do it.

However without the profile, I get the message I need the machine to be enrolled, but to enroll it I need the profile.

A circular bit of tail chasing.

Without the profile I can't access any of the downloads I need to reintall 10.4.6, and the restore my back up.

How do I break the Catch 22 and install the beta profile without one?

Thanks

Try reenrolling in the Apple Beta Software Program. https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/redemption#macos

Download the "macOS Public Beta Access Utility" and install it. I had to do this the other day. You will see the macOS 10.15Catalina beta at the top. If you look down toward the bottom of the Software Update window it will say that another beta is available. Click on "more info". The macOS 10.14.6 Public Beta 3 should show up. It is version (18G59b). It is 2.97 GB in size.

That's the ticked. I search for that .dmg with beta access utility, but got that loop I was describing.

That link worked and I've got 10.4.6 Beta downloading now.

Thanks!

Hi, where can I find this Download, its not where You wrote!?

You can't get the 10.14.6 Beta anymore. The final public release of Mojave 10.14.6 has been released. The only macOS beta you can get now is macOS 10.15 Catalina Beta. Enroll your Mac and download the " macOS Public Beta Access Utility" and install it. Then check "System Preferences/ Software Update" to see if you are set to receive beta software updates.

ok thanks! do you have any idea how I can get back to a time machine copy from10.14.4?

Restart in macOS Recovery. When the Utilities screen appears, select "Restore from Time Machine Backup" and select the backup you want to restore from. Any files you have now that you wish to save should be copied to another drive. Because when you restore from the older backup your volume will be erased and replaced with the data on the older Time Machine backup. Anything you added since that backup won't be there.
