Music, Movies, and TV libraries in 10.15 with the new apps

When upgrading to 10.15 beta, what happens to the old iTunes library and file locations? Specifially, I have my iTunes library on external devices (one 1TB drive for music, one 6 TB drive for movies, tv, and podcasts). When the new apps convert their portion of the old iTunes library file, does it try to move the files to the internal hard drive, does it keep the same external location, or does it ask? Thanks.
