External Accessory: Can open / trigger app in "not running" state.

Hi!

I would like to ask if it is possible that the external accesory that has passed the MFI program will automatically open the dedicated application?

I assume that if so, a dedicated data protocol is needed.

Whether it is possible via bluetooth and lightning connector?

Can external external acessors "wake up" the killed app in the background as it does in the iBeacon enter / exit region?

If not, what are the possibilities to wake up the dead application outside the change localization event?
Thank's in advance for answers

This sort of thing is done via commands over the MFi accessory’s communication interface, not via APIs in the iOS SDK, and thus it’s not something that we can discuss in this area of DevForums.

If you’re an MFi developer, you can take advantage of MFi’s own informal support channel or, if that doesn’t work out, open a formal MFi tech support incident. You can find details of both of these resources in the MFi portal (look for Obtaining MFi Developer Technical Support under the Articles section).
