Downloading IPA file as file, not as app

I'm ready to distribute my first Enterprise app. We're putting it on our file sharing system, so users can download. I tested the process, and it downloads as a file instead of downloading the app. Do I need to take another step, akin to a .exe file on a computer?

Are your employees expected to install directly to their devices?


Are you using an MDM package?


What is the file type on your server?


What server is being used? Is it configured for that file type?


What is file type after being downloaded?

An .ipa is just a zip file.
