Notarize a dmg "no mountable file systems"

Suddenly the notarization service failed with message: "b'hdiutil: attach failed - no mountable file systems\\n'", but I can mount the dmg in my mac. Until few days ago, notarization by same build process on CI works as expected...

Anyone suffer same trouble?

Also I filed it as a bug report.

Looks like Apple fixed the problem last night. Suddenly all my previous attemts to notarize were reported as success, and testing a new archive also worked for me.

Nice!

DTS has received a bunch of reports like this. This isn’t really my field, so I’m not sure of the current status, so I’m going to recommend that you open a DTS tech support incident to get one-on-one help.

Did you already got any news on this? I'm facing the same problem with my dmg file.

Thanks and regards

Same issue here. Filed as:

Looks like someone managed to type a lowercase B and an apostrophe before hdutil and got it into production. Let's hope it's easy to fix.

Just adding a "me too" to this. Been happening for me since Friday, for a DMG that previous worked with notarization, and definitely has no problems being mounted.

Same issue here. No problems with notarization prior to this issue.

I actually did ask for help to DTS, the case id is 703455850.

and I received a reply

> Thank you for contacting Apple Developer Technical Support (DTS). We have reviewed your request and believe this issue would be best handled by the relevant engineering team directly, as it may require changes to the OS, tools, or the frameworks you are using.

So I submit a bug report and post the forum to share the problem with fellow developers.

EDIT: My bugreport https://bugreport.apple.com/web/?problemID=45931813 is now open and duplicate of 46000540.

As I mentioned earlier I’m not an expert in notarisation, so I don’t have any input on this myself, but I wanted to point out that we have just posted a new documentation article on how to troubleshoot issues like this, namely, Resolving Common Notarization Issues.
