a new iOS update is now available. Please update from the iOS 12 beta

HI guys,

I just got a pop up saying "a new iOS update is now available. Please update from the iOS 12 beta", but i'm already on ios12 beta 9 and I don't see any new updates on the download page as well. Anyone got any thoughts about this? Probably hints us that the GM version is coming soon...

Oh Yeh, it's true, thknz.

I, along with many others it seems, have the same issue on both my iPhone and iPad. What's strange is that I know I had updated them at least as far as 12 beta 10, and now if I got to Settings/General/Software Update, it says I have only 12.0. Not sure how that happened, but this is all very annoying.

1. We do not know who is running the dev. and public betas on their test or primary devices unless they tell us.

2. It is difficult to test on a device that issues what I call a system prompt every so often. P1? Definitely not, but a fix is needed to support developers and enthusiests alike. Also, we are in the beta discussion group; this is the perfect place to complain about and troubleshoot the betas. We know that Apple watches the forms as well as the feedback/radar systems, why not use the channel that they gave us? Not peeved, just dealing with the same problem that everyone else is in this accursed thread.

If you have an Apple Watch, it’s saying that the watch needs to be updated as well. Once I updated my watch I stopped receiving this notification pop up.

This may be resolved. I JUST got a new update of iOS 12 beta and the popup has gone away on both my iPhone and iPad.

Today’s release of iOS 12 Developer beta 12 has eliminated that annoying update pop up.

You may check here: https://developer.apple.com/news/releases/

There is already the iOS 12 Developer beta 12 and its profile.

However ⚠ in https://beta.apple.com/profile the profile is iOS 12 beta 10. This is strange and confusing.

I don't know what is the algorithm that apple use to send this kind of notifications.

If you have apple ID you may connect to developer, download iOS 12 Developer beta 12 and check after that if you/we are going to get rid of the notification.

BR.

Download Beta 12. The issue is now resolved.

I first noticed yesterday the notification that there was a IOS 12 beta update available. But when I go to Software Update, it shows that the iPad is up to date. Under ‘About’, version 16A5357b.

Success!

After doing more seaching, I happened on a non Apple site that mentioned that there was supposed to be a beta profile. I had absolutely no profiles at all. After downloading a Beta profile, everything came naturally into place, and the most recent iOS 12 public beta is now being downloaded.
