Has anyone seen this? Usually in bright light, the iPhone X will actually react to some touches without touching the screen at all. You can hover your finger over and move it toward the screen and it will select text, randomly touch spots and trigger things. It's usually in Google News or Apple News and it's completely bizzarre. I've had it selecting text in Notes and other apps.
I mean, I guess it's cool but so weird....
OK, it was a defective iPhone. For some reason iOS12 made it super sensitive fingers hovering over screen. I got the display replaced and now everything is working fine. So if this happens to you, get the display replaced!
No one has seen this happen? Happened twice today - I reported with sysdiagnose.
Seems there was at least one report during the iOS 11 beta
