Yesterday the UI died in the middle of the day. One glance showed me my overlapping activity rings (we are travelling and doing a lot of hiking,) the next moment it is black with a faint stripe of white. Haptics and audio contInue and there is no error indication on the iPhone.
I have reset the watch (cold boot,) but that does not change anything. This is an Apple Watch 3 with LTE, but LTE does not work outside the US.
I am hesitant to unpair and reinstalll, because there is no way to enter the CODE to unlock and other folks posting about this indicated this would be a waste of time. I just got the notice about the latest beta (I am on the earlier one,) but am hesitant to muck with it in this condition.
I am out of the country and will be for a while longer - leaving it with Apple here is not practical and I do not want to waste vacation time.
Any advice? Has anybody recovered from this without Apple’s help?
