Reserve App Name

Is it acceptable to create iTunes Connect records ahead of launch as a way of reserving an app name? I read something (I don't remember where) that I could have an iTunes Connect app record for six months without uploading anything before I get in trouble. Is that correct? I just created my record and intend to upload by December at the very latest, so I'll fit easily into that window.

Yeps, 6 months, but if you push a binary and dev reject, you can sit on it for much longer...

See the iTunes Connect Guidelines for info on the 180 day basic limit.

I won't get in trouble for a stunt like that, right?

I wouldn't call a common practice a stunt.

But if it keeps you awake, don't do it.

So it's a common practice to juggle binaries and dev-rejects? That makes me feel better…

Thanks for the help!
