HomeKit outside the home not working on iPhone

HomeKit control outside the home is no longer working since beta 1 on the iPhone. My home hub shows “standby.” However on my iPad also running the beta, the hub shows “connected” and I can control my devices from the cellular network and not just in home Wifi.
