I dont think you understand what a BETA is...That said it worked right out of the gate for me.

Has anyone had anyluck with clipboard continuity and a 2011 iMac?

Works perfectly for me both ways with my late 2013 mbp and my iPad pro, doesnt work between my late 2011 iMac and my iPad Pro.

I've signed in and out of iCloud a few times on both, still no joy. I have to say I absolutly love this feature.

I had to turn on bluetooth for it to work, it's a little ******** not being a handoff or icloud sync

Uh yea it is considering it's a featured add and was shown during the WWDC. But that's ok you can get sarcastic again if you'd like.

Continuity isn't available to MBP 2011 because it requires Bluetooth 4.0

So even though it doesn't rely on Bluetooth to transfer, the clipboard isn't available because Continuity isn't on.

The Universal Clipboard is part of Continuity, which isn't supported on 2011 MBPs.

There's a hack to get around it, but it requires a Bluetooth dongle or replacing the airport extreme card.

I also have a mid 2011 iMac . Doesn't work ; although cloudclip does

Hi all,

It works through bluetooth, you only need to wait 2 or 3 sec. on the device you wanna paste.

Have wasted a day on this. Would have been quicker to handwrite the report I am working on. This on top of the six hours it took to install the new OS. Massive fail.

Still no closer to making it work. These things should be ironed out in testing.

Try disabling and then enabling "Back to My Mac" in the iCloud settings in your Mac's system preferences.

After trying many different other things, this finally got the universal clipboard to work for me.

This is a classic example of linear thinking. I have been guilty if this too. Basically forgetting the adage "There's more than one way to skin a cat!"😁.

Try one of these methods:

  1. Email it to yourself.
  2. Use iCloud to transfer the file.
  3. AirDrop the file.

For an important, and possibly time critical project, you shouldn't spend a lot of time trying to fix something that you could easily work around.
