Display Brightness Setting Won't Stick

I have a mid-2011 iMac (quad core i7) and every time I boot my iMac into High Sierra I always have to adjust my screen brightness. The "Automatically adjust brightness" setting is always checked and I have to uncheck it and change the level.

I reboot and go through the same process.

Anyone else have this issue?

Sidenote: This beta has been incredibly solid so far. I am very impressed. 🙂

I have the same issue, both my Imac and my MBP, anytime I have to restart it self checks the auto brighntess box. Everything else is rock solid so far, but this is annoying since I'm a photographer and calibrate screens.

Surely there is some way to turn this permanetly off in terminal or something.

Yes, same here. On latest (6th) Beta and the auto-brightness checkbox is re-selected on my MacBook Pro every time I reboot.

Same for me on 2017 iMac and my MacBook Air 2015.

Same problem on my 2017 MacBook Pro.

The display preferences issue is fixed in beta 9. You can uncheck "automatically adjust brightness", restart, and and the previous settings are still present.

Nope, I still have this issue even after beta 9 (on two iMac 27" mid-2011)

This issue is now fixed with the GM version.
