"Your Apple ID account is also attached to other iTunes providers"

This is a message I get from Application Loader when trying to upload an app to my account:

"Your Apple ID account is also attached to other iTunes providers. You will need to create a new user on iTunes Connect to submit content to this account. Please contact us if you have questions or need help."

My Apple ID is used for admin access to several customer accounts, but is only account owner for one account (this one). Is it the fact that it's used for admin access that is the problem? If so, has that policy changed? It's worked fine before: iTunes Connect has sorted out where the app should go based on bundle ID and only that.

Effectively I can't upload apps anymore.

Update: I found a few very similar issues, but rather old, so I can't be alone with this:

Is the only solution to create one Apple ID per admin role?

I solved this, as others have suggested, by setting up a new user for App Loader and general admin. That worked fine.

The point is why...

I can't understand what have I done to cause this question. I want to solve the root

Same issue here!

Just happened today, no difference as hadn't touched the Mac for a month, and tried to upload a previous buidl with a minor tweak.

Same issue for me.

From yesterday i can't updload builds for my app.

Also with Application Loader (with same account), i have the same issue.

I got the same error when upload from Xcode Archieves. My error message also mentions "The iTunes Store is experiencing an internal server error. See https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/", and error code -22421. But the Apple system status is all green now.

>But the Apple system status is all green now.

Don't use that as an indicator of your moment-to-moment ability to be able to reliably interact with the backend.

Getting the same error here. I have two accounts in Xcode and have been reliably submitting builds for a client for months until late last night. Tried uploading 8 times over the course of 12 hours and get the same error message each time.

same here...

wow... all of the reports are from TODAY...

again someone in apple pressed the wrong button and went home?...

its becoming more and more frustrating to develop for IOS... really.

This started happening to me today as well! I cant find a work around!!

Yep, same for me.

Was working fine yesterday -- I still see the builds going to iTunes Connect but they are processing for a long time.

I'm experiencing the same issue - just got off the phone with Apple Developer support and it sounds like they were not aware of the issue yet. I'm going to send them an email with screenshots and some basic info and will post when I know more.

I'm going to try Application Loader as mentioned here to see if that gets around the issue:

Update:

Application Loader worked for me:

https://stackoverflow.com/a/44307310

I was able to successfully upload using Application Loader also. Xcode still not working.

I have the same issue, but I haven't your luck... when I use application loader it doesn't work too. I have the follow error:

"Your Apple ID account is also attached to other iTunes providers. You will need to create a new user on iTunes Connect to submit content to this account. Please contact us if you have questions or need help."

So I've trying create a new user only for upload apps associated only this account... but I've get error "An unknown error has occurred." on code confirm to create (the e-mail code), on browser developer prompt/network I've get this error:

service_errors:

[{code: "-34607001", title: "Could Not Create Account", message: "An unknown error has occurred."}]

Please.. Can anyone help me ? =/

Looks like it's resolved now. Just published a build around 10pm EST.
