Instruments not profiling iOS 9 device

I wanted to do some performance analysis using Xcode 7 and Instruments Version 7.0 (7A192o). Xcode copies the app to my iPad, then I start up a Time Profiler instrument, and my attached device (running an iOS 9 beta) is disabled in the popup.

I can Run on the device, just not profile.

I have profiled in the past, though probably not with this Xcode beta. Is there something I need to do in the scheme? Is it just a bug?

it worked for me 😉

Apple, please fix that.

Basically, Time Profiling doesn't work with latest released iOS and Xcode 7.3.1

OMG... it worked for me too 😮

I can't believe I am writing this, but it worked!

My environment configuration is as follows:

  • MAC OS: 10.11.6
  • iOS: iPhone6s 10.1.1(14B150)

I have tried this many times:

  • Restart my computer
  • Restart my iPhone
  • Restart my Xcode
  • Restart instruments

But will still prompt the device offline shortly after starting the trace, about two minutes, especially in the APP into the video playback page is prone to offline,Please help me! thanks very much

I I encountered the same problem.

Incredibly, this bug still exists in Xcode 10.3, and the solution to restart your iDevice still works.
