macOS Sierra Developer Beta 2 download stuck at 17.7MB

I've been trying to install the new beta all day, and after restarting the computer and trying several times, the download always stays stuck at precisely 17.7MB of 1.15GB. With the estimated time to finish increasing constantly.

Anyone have any ideas?

Same here... Download stuck at 151MB 😟 What can I do?

I made a clean install of DP1,then upgrade to DP2 successly.

Get the files through a browser instead of the mac app store via direct links in this thread: https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/51061

Me too. I'v tried serval times, and always stuck at 151MB.

Unfortunately you can't install them individually.

How to Install:

1) Download the files FullBundleUpdate.pkg, FirmwareUpdate.pkg and OSXUpd10.12Patch.pkg.

2) Copy the 3 files .pkg.

3) Open /Library/Updates/031-63042 and paste it. If you don't have a folder 031-63042 already here in /Library/Updates, make one yourself.

4) Restart your Mac.

5) Open AppStore and click Update.

6) It should now ask you to reboot and will install the Beta 2

7) Reboot and wait to install.

None of the file juggling helped me - even after an install of the downloaded package, the update would show and never finish. I have case sensitivity active (deliberately, to check capitalisation skills of the programmers). I was successful with sudo softwareupdate -i -r (-a doesn't seem to work anymore).

Had the same problem downloading Public beta 2 update....Tried sudo softwareupdate -i -r but stucked at finding available software. What should i do?

Thank you

Same issue, any workaround?

I did sudo softwareupdate -l first. If that does not give a list, I'd check the router or try another network.

i have the same problem and i don't know what to do

I managed find a workaround, by downloading the files manually and then updating it through the App Store.

1. Start the update in App Store

2. Download the 4 following files:

3. Move the 4 files into /Library/Updates/031-68146

4. Restart your Mac

5. Update through App Store

It should then install the Update like usual, this worked for me atleast.

[SOLVED]

The above method didn't work in my case. Still stuck at 17.7 Mb.

I was going to give up then this crazy thing came to my mind.
1) I booted from a El Captain working OS and connected the Sierra beta HD as an external drive.

2) I launched the sierra beta 2 upgrade files from El Captain TARGETING the SIERRA BETA DISK [CAREFUL HERE] one by one.

Installation proceeded smooth. and reached the end.

3) shut down the system, connect SIERRA BETA 2 freshly upgraded HD and had a welcome screen, fiiled it with my information and BAM!

no more upgrade request, system is up to date.

Thank you! This worked.

This worked like a charm. Thanks a lot!

You sir, are a hero!
