Kext approval problems

With betas 7 and 8, my kernel extensions install fine, and I get the popup saying that they need to be approved, but the "Allow" button on the "Security & Privacy" panel doesn't do anything.

It correctly shows our company name for the software being blocked, but clicking the button does nothing at all.

Has anyone else ran into this?

I had this as well, the problem is MagicPrefs (the mouse prefs) I had installed. Also seems that SteerMouse can prevent this.

Once I quit MagicPrefs I could hit Allow again!

With 10.13.2, I was having the same problem with the Allow button that wouldn't do anything when trying to install VirtualBox (latest version 5.2.2) and it was definitely because I was remoting in using Apple Remote Desktop (ARD). The Allow button worked fine if I wasn't remoting in. Apple should fix this since the problem is a combination of 10.13.x and ARD, both of which are Apple products.

If your problem is the Allow button that won't do anything and you on 10.13.2, try resetting your pram. I saw another thread somewhere where that worked because they said the permissions were stored there.

I just updated system to Big Sur. It doesn't ask me for the approve in Security & privacy while I try to load .kext but the I got the message in terminal "Extension with identifiers com.silabs.driver.CP210xVCPDriver not approved to load. Please approve using System Preferences." Any suggestions?

Hmm, now this button works and I can reboot computer, but it doesn't do anything after reboot. Same message with "Allow" button appears.

All my work currently is blocked because of this bug ((

I even tried Ventura 13.5 Beta (22G5027e)
