Can you verify that your iPhone is connected to the Mac with a cable from Apple and that the cable is in good condition? If so, can you try a different USB cable (ideally one from Apple) and see what happens? I have seen circumstances where faulty USB cables result in Xcode not being able to connect to a device, even when it shows up in Finder, like you're showing here.
