Is it possible to publish an article on this forum?

Hello, forum admins.

Thank you for your work in maintaining the forum in an active working condition.

I have a question for you. Is it possible here, on the forum, not only to ask questions and get answers, but also to conduct technical discussions on current programming issues?

For example, I would like to publish an article on design programming patterns and hear the opinions of other programmers working in this direction.

I know that there are resources where we can publish articles. But here is the most big and active community of programmers using Apple technologies and it would be great to have the opportunity to publish articles here and organize thematic discussions.

Best regards, John

While the forums platform doesn’t provide a way to publish content per se [1], there’s nothing stopping you from posting stuff that isn’t a question. Indeed, I’d argue that the following quote, from the top of Apple Developer > Support > Developer Forums, encourages that:

Apple Developer Forums are a great place to post questions, exchange knowledge, and connect with fellow developers and Apple engineers on a variety of development topics.

Speaking personally, I see DevForums as about building community. This stands in contrast to other popular technical platforms, which are laser focused on answering specific questions.

[1] Apple folks can use a locked post for this, but that’s not available to third parties.

IMHO publishing articles is not the purpose of the forum which is, as you noticed, to ask technical questions about app development.

May be the forum misses a section for general technical discussions. I suggest you file a FB to ask for this.
