"Unable to Install" Message

Getting this in the message:

Upgrade's application-identifier entitlement string (2B7D2DT292.com.…) does not match installed application's application-identifier string (724QD58FHA.com…); rejecting upgrade. … Upgrade's application-identifier entitlement string … does not match installed application's application-identifier string …; rejecting upgrade. …

The Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData folder contains three children folders for the Xcode Project. Could the three Xcode Project children folders be deleted, then Run the Project. Then generating a single new Project Folder?

No other Xcode Project has more than one child folder.

I'm also having a problem Adding an Image in this New Post. Could this be related to my Developer Account settings?

Hello, please see the section "Upgrade's application-identifier does not match the installed app" for information about how to deal with this error:

Technical Note TN2319, "Installation Failure Troubleshooting for iOS: Upgrade's application-identifier does not match the installed app"

Perhaps you need to have a previous-application-identifiers entitlement added to your app's provisioning profile. The folks over at Apple Developer Programs can help you with that (see directions in the article above).

Accepted Answer
  • Deleted all Projects from the DerivedData folder
  • Cleaned the Build Folder
  • Quit Xcode
  • re-Opened Xcode
  • Performed a Run
  • Got the "Unable to Install" Message again
  • Issued a report to Apple
  • Closed the Project
  • Created a new Project
  • Performed a Run
  • The Message appeared again for the new Project?
