Xcode 16 RC - Cannot add packages

When opening the package management sheet there is a loading indicator going forever preventing the button to be enabled. The window displays collections but not "Recently used" (which also loads indefinitely). Anyone else seeing this? Any way to clear Xcode preferences/caches for the manager?

I have the same problem !

Same here! I can update existing packages, but cannot add new ones.

I realized the problem is that I installed the app from the Appstore so it stuck.

You just need to delete Xcode on your device following the instructions below:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/31011062/how-to-completely-uninstall-xcode-and-clear-all-settings

Download Xcode dmg and install it: https://developer.apple.com/services-account/download?path=/Developer_Tools/Xcode_16/Xcode_16.xip

It should work fine.

I have same problem Work only with local pachages

Has anyone managed to find a solution? Apple, are you there?

A workaround to this issue is to remove all the packages from the recently used section.

This can be done by selecting the "Recently Used" section in the package addition panel, and open the context menu (CMD + click). Then select "Clear recently used…".

Delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dt.xcodebuild.plist can fix this.

I experienced the same issue, and the following method for clearing the history worked effectively for me.

  1. Recently Used click
  2. cmd+backspace
  3. Clear History Button Click
