Project Navigator in Xcode Collapsing by itself

For 1-2 months now the project navigator collapses for no apparent reason. It happens with all my projects. It is getting quite irritating to have to switch to another pane and then back to Navigator again.

Is there anything I can try to fix this? Deleting file .xcuserstate from inside the project didn't help.

I am using Xcode 15.4 on an Intel MacBookPro 2019 running Sonoma 14.5.

Take a look through the Behaviors tab in the Xcode > Settings menu. It has configuration choices for changing the UI when various actions happen, including opening and closing different navigator panels.

I'm experiencing the same thing. I can't put my finger on it, but it seems like it may be a "feature". It just suddenly collapses, like as if it was triggered by a trackpad gesture by accident.

Thanks for replying Ed.

I don't see anything suspicious in the Behaviors tab. I have never touched it anyway.

The only thing I changed is the key for Pause/Continue in Debug menu from Cmd-Y to F5.
