[iPadOS 18] Make Tabbar back to previous version

It is weird putting the tabbar on top.

Apple should give us a way to put the Tabbar back to bottom, just like the old version.

Otherwise, I will write a custom view to bring the old feature back.

Every year, WWDC brings additional workload to developers.

I HATE WWDC

Hate is usually a bad adviser… 😇

So you'd better file a bug report, as done here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/756652

But it is likely a definite design choice to save space on iPad (not possible on iPhone probably because of Dynamic Island) and progressively all apps will adopt, so it is probably better to get accustomed to it…

“… and progressively all apps will adopt, so it is probably better to get accustomed to it…”

i find it easier to work with what my users will expect, not what I think best. Apple manages opinions by the shear weight off their ecosystem

I don't like the new TabBar it is a confusing view and not very well implemented. It also means there are two ways the Tab Bar will appear depending on the OS version. This makes it very difficult to design an App that will look consistent across older iPads. It also breaks the older programs if they run on 18 where the code for hiding TabBar has been used as doesn't seem to work on 18. Please allow the developer to choose the previous implementation to ease the transition to the new ways
