Xcode 15 installation AdHoc produced ipa to ios17 iPhone error

When I use Xcode 15 (15A240d) to install the ipa generated by Ad Hoc to iPhone13 ios17.0.1 The following error will be displayed

Error installing '/Users/user/Desktop/test 2023-09-22 10-38-29/test.ipa', ERROR: Error Domain=com.apple.dt.CoreDeviceError Code=3002 "Failed to install the app on the device." UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Failed to install the app on the device., NSURL=file:///Users/user/Desktop/test%202023-09-22%2010-38-29/test.ipa, NSUnderlyingError=0x600002344900 {Error Domain=com.apple.dt.CoreDeviceError Code=3000 "The item at test.ipa is not a valid bundle." UserInfo={NSURL=file:///Users/user/Desktop/test%202023-09-22%2010-38-29/test.ipa, NSLocalizedDescription=The item at test.ipa is not a valid bundle., NSLocalizedFailureReason=Failed to read the bundle.}}}

But I don’t have this problem when I use other installation methods or other ios16 versions of mobile phones.

Yep. Same for me. The only way I can install the ipa generated by XCode 15 is to use the Apple Configurator App which seems daft to me. Don't know what they changed but I hope it gets fixed soon :(

I’m having the same issues, what worked for me for iPhone was converting my .ipa to .zip and unzipping the file and installing the file that’s in the folder of the unzipped file, it worked for iOS but not tvo, hope this issue gets fixed soon, I might install the Xcode 15.0.1 beta just to see if it fixes the issue

Same with iPhone 14 Pro Max(iOS 17.0.3) + Xcode 15.0(15A240d) on M1Max MBP (macOS Sonoma Version 14.1 Beta (23B5056e))

1 Xcode Device and Simulators window doesn't install, error "ipa is not a valid bundle" as the original poster.

2 Someone on reddit suggested to drag in Finder for their iPad, not worked for my iPhone.

3 Apple Configurator drag works

4 the ipa itself can be doulble click to intall on the Apple silicon MBP itself.

Additional info, the iPA is produced by Unreal Engine with a development type cert/provision(not distribute type, for debugging purpose, I want attach the debugger)
