Xcode 15 assert when running app

Just upgraded to Sonoma and Xcode 15. When I try debugging my SwiftUI app, an assertion fires in AppKit (see below) on app start. I cleaned and tried debugging again and still get the same assertion. I also tried commenting out the app's toolbar but still got the same assertion. The same code worked before upgrading. Ideas?

Are you using nested NavigationSplitView's by any chance? And were you able to figure this error out? I am seeing the same with nested NavigationSplitView's that were working pre-Sonoma.

Yes, I did have nested NavigationSplitViews. I ended up working around the crash by replacing the inner NavigationSplitView with a different navigation mechanism. I figured that having nested NavigationSplitViews might not be a supported configuration. It's not as if it's well documented.

Adding to my own reply, curiously it (having nested NavigationSplitViews) seemed to work fine in Playgrounds. Maybe it's triggering an assertion that only shows up when debugging in Xcode and is suppressed when running in Playgrounds (i.e. a less severe form of debugging).

have issue likely related, NavigationSplitViews, in MacOs App the code below will work but not if I don't have the button comment out.
