Xcode "Connect via network" is stuck, controls disabled

Hi, since a while now, I've noticed that in Xcode 15 (beta 8), my iOS device running iOS 17 (latest beta), I can't seem to disable the setting "Connect via Network" in the Devices and Simulators window. The controls are disabled, and stuck to 'on'.

I often also have issues with the 'Installing to device' step while development my apps, where a reboot of the iPad is required. My guess is that it gets stuck/confused how it is supposed to deploy and my network setup is a bit complicated due to VPN's, tight WiFi security etc.

Unpairing the device doesn't help with resetting this setting. After unpairing the top-right header (with the Take Screenshot controls etc...) even still shows the details of the unpaired device.

Anyone else has experienced this or know a solution.

I'm seeing the same behavior and haven't found a solution

same here for the official release

I have temporarily avoided this problem by not connecting to WIFI, haven't found another solution yet.

I'm seeing the same issue on Xcode 15.0 (15A240d) when connecting to an iOS 17.0.1 device. iOS 16 devices are unaffected.

This is quite disruptive, as even when my test device is plugged in, Xcode 15 insists on connecting to it via network, which is slow and unreliable.

The only way to force Xcode 15 to use wired debugging that I found was to unpair and re-pair the device. However, that only works while the device remains plugged in — unplugging it re-activates wireless debugging that cannot be disabled, even after plugging the device back in.

Same here, Xcode 15 official release and iOS 17.0.2 official release.

Apparently this is intended behaviour, see here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/737875?answerId=765840022#765840022

Same here. Debugging on device is not usable anymore since Xcode 15 + iOS 17. Sent a feedback

Same problem. This also leads to watch problem when I constantly see the message "Connecting to Uladzimir’s Apple Watch" then "Waiting Apple Watch to reconnect". I don't have Wi-Fi at home, my phone is used as Hotspot and I believe, that connection to Xcode via Network somehow disrupts the connection with Apple Watch.

Any progress here on enabling "Connect via IP Address"?
