Hi community:

I'm coming across two error types on Xcode cloud during ui tests.

encountered an error (Early unexpected exit, operation never finished bootstrapping - no restart will be attempted. (Underlying Error: Test crashed with signal kill before starting test execution. If you believe this error represents a bug, please attach the result bundle at &#x2F;Volumes&#x2F;workspace&#x2F;resultbundlexcresult))

encountered an error (Failed to prepare device &#039;Clone 7 of iPhone 14 Pro&#039; for impending launch. If you believe this error represents a bug, please attach the result bundle at &#x2F;Volumes&#x2F;workspace&#x2F; resultbundle.xcresult. (Underlying Error: Unable to boot the Simulator. launch failed to respond. (Underlying Error: Failed to start launch_ sim: could not bind to session, launchd_sim may have crashed or quit responding)))

Any ideas on how to solve them?

This was solved after 1 week, when apple changed something in the xcode cloud.

I tried to solve it by adding a pre-action to remove simulators' cache, but it didn't solve it. The next step, change the simulators, and crossing fingers to overcome this Apple bug.

No luck with it. Neither downgrading the OS version ... It started on Friday Morning. Any issues on going @eskimo?

This issue is still happening for us, did you reach out to Apple and have them change something for you on their end?

@DTS Engineer Dear Apple, kindly bump this issue. Still in 2024 Xcode Cloud Test action always fail with the same error - " App Name (7274) encountered an error (Early unexpected exit, operation never finished bootstrapping - no restart will be attempted. (Underlying Error: Test crashed with signal ill before starting test execution.)) "
