Locking the threads every time Apple is doing things wrong is not a solution

"This thread has been locked by a moderator" seems to pop up every time it's obvious Apple has been negligent in any way.

This is not how you de-escalate things, people. Silencing people because they have a problem is not a solution to the problem, but it DOES make Apple look even worse.

You're new to the forum but already have definitive answers… IMHO, it is not about silencing people but avoiding thread going into endless and sterile discussion. This is a technical forum, not a chat. But you can ask a new question on similar topic if you find it needed.

No, I'm not. I've been looking for answers hare for a decade AND I've been on the other side of the screen, looking through these for Radars to file.

I just don't post online much because some self-assured rando will show up and decide they need to show everyone and me how much better they think they are and how much more they know than me.

Oh look. There it happened again.

This is not how you de-escalate things

Indeed.

Can you post some links to threads that you feel were locked inappropriately?

Share and Enjoy
