Hello!

Any ideas on how to switch from an organization account to an individual account without losing the apps?

The company will soon be closed unfortunately and I would prefer to switch the account to an individual and pay taxes accordingly.

I saw that I can change the banking to an individual, but the tax forms and legal entities cannot be changed.

I have tried to contact Apple but their response is that you can only switch from individual to organization and they respond once every 3 days.. I cannot wait this amount of time and I cannot call them either.

Another idea is that I can make another apple account as an individual and transfer the apps but I don't think I can join the apple developer program with 10% fees again.

I would appreciate every suggestion!

Currently changing the account from company to individual developer program is not possible. If you already don't have an individual program, you can create a new Apple ID and transfer your app. Please make sure to review the app transfer guideline and confirm your app meets the transfer requirement.

I called Apple Developer Program support today and even though it's still not officially supported, they suggested me a workaround:

Create a new throwaway Apple ID. Just a regular account, you don't have to buy an Apple Developer Program membership for it.
Visit App Store Connect's "People" page, and invite this new Apple ID to your team.
From your Apple Developer Account's "Membership" page, click "Transfer Your Account Holder Role", and transfer your developer account to the new Apple ID.
Your original Apple ID will now be freed up and able to create a new developer account. Register as an individual.
Log into the throwaway Apple ID account and transfer all apps to your other account.

Supposedly this would allow you to keep your original Apple ID associated with your apps, while not requiring you to buy a second membership.

Note that I have yet to actually try this method. I'll report back after I do.
