I love Apple! Doing everything to force you pay and ......
Same problem...
Enabling 2FA worked for me : https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204915
I had hopes that going to bed then waking up in the morning the issue would have resolved. Nope. What's the proper channel to get this looked at by Apple?
I'm having the same error. Apple don't care about this.
Also having this issue. Support saying to just try again later. Not a great solution and definitely not "resolved" as the error message said it woul be after contacting support
It's happening again. I am thinking of jumping ship. Obsoletion is not an option. This makes me sad. 25+ year apple user.
Had this problem today Xcode 10.1. I had two accounts in Xcode 10 preferences. Both of them for stopped working, and prompted for session expired. In case this helps others:
What didn't work:
* Signing in again
* Removing accounts them from Xcode preferences, then adding (same...immediately "session expired" after adding)
* Removing all accounts from Xcode preferences (including GitHub and XCode Server)
* This command recommended online didn't help: defaults write -g DVTDeveloperAccountUseKeychainService -bool NO
I didn't try this:
* adding/removing 2FA. Maybe it would help, IDK, but seems like a lot of work to solve this issue
What worked:
* Add the acount to Xcode on a different Mac -- worked fine. Since it worked on Mac #2 it pointed toward a workstation config issue on Mac #1--not account issue. After working on Mac #2 -- still not working on Mac #1
* Finally, on Mac #1, delete Xcode from the Applications folder, then reinstall from the Mac App Store. Adding account worked 1st try.
All OK now.
HTH
2022 same thing
Try to go to Xcode preferences and relogin in Accounts section.
