I keep noticing that some bugs that I reported or features that I suggested have been corrected or added to the latest OS. For one of these I replied asking why I wasn't notified and never got an answer. Isn't Apple interested in closing as many feedbacks as possible? Now I cannot even say that perhaps I formulated them in such a way that they don't understand, because they don't seem to reply altogether.
Why does Apple not mark solved bugs as solved?
That would be nice indeed. But that would require to go back and check that the solved bug corresponds exactly to the bug report. With the number of bugs they get, such a tracking would be heavy task.
So it is up to us (the bug reporter) to check if new release has solved the issue. They sometime mention the bug n° in the Release notes.
You could file a bug report for enhancement suggestion.
And then track it of course…😊
I've already filed a bug report months or years ago, I don't remember exactly, but never got a response. Why should it be up to us to keep track of what's solved and what not? After all, for some of them I get a response asking to verify if it still happens in the newest OS release, so they have a mechanism for tracking what they are working on. I don't know about you, but checking regularly if any of the thousands of bug reports that I filed have been solved would take many days (I actually did this last January, during the holidays). I would have thought that since we're helping them in finding bugs in their products it shouldn't be our burden to keep checking them. How inefficient that would be!
