Hi, I'm trying to get a Merchant ID that's required on our site for Apple Pay.
I've signed up to the developer programme, and believe I need to verify my site in order to get the Merchant ID.
The file needs to be at: .well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt
However, we're on Shopify and can't add the file there.
Is it possible to verify via another method?
Is there another way to get a Merchant ID?

You'll need to create a Merchant ID and then add a Merchant Domain to your Merchant ID. See the Apple Pay on the Web Debugging Guide for more details here.

If your Payment Service Provider using the Merchant Registration API, then they could verify your domain.

Creating a Merchant ID is usually done through the Developer Portal, unless your Payment Service Provider is handling all of this for you.
