I handled everything through touchesEnded. Was curious if I could hand off the call to touchesEnded from touchesCancelled?

You can create another method and call it both from touchesCancelled and touchesEnded.
In another thread I advised you to call the same code in cancel as in ended. Did you try that ? It is the same answer to this new question.
