Which languages does Foundation grammar support?

Love the new Foundation grammar agreement. The demo shows Spanish but it's hard to believe this can work for every language. Is there documentation on which languages this works for? If it only works for some languages, how are we supposed to use this for languages that don't support it yet?

Thank you for asking! The release notes document what's shipping in iOS, iPadOS and macOS this year:

  • We can inflect Spanish and English text (all es_… and en_… variants);
  • For Spanish, the user will be shown a selection UI for their term of address in Language & Region (in Settings or System Preferences).
  • For English, you can use in-sentence agreement, similar to the demo in the session, to achieve pluralization and other kinds of agreement; or you can use the API to inject information you already have about the person being talked about using Morphology and InflectionRule programmatically.
