Menus disappeared after update to Big Sur beta 4

Hi, I updated my MacBook Pro (late 2016) this morning from Big Sur beta 3 to beta 4 and now almost all icons in the menu bar and all menus are lost/disappeared: All I can see are empty boxes which should contain the menu lists.
I did a PRAM reset and had Disk Utility "repair" all volumes (but it did not find any errors or problems). Before I re-install the entire system with 1 TB of data (taking some 8-10 hours): Does anyone have any idea? Or did this happen elsewhere and I/we may hope that Apple will provide a fix soon?
I'm only on the Public Beta 3 and same thing happened to me. No bluetooth, no volume, no displays, no date/time in the menu bar... third party apps show up, as do Spotlight and Siri but that's it. What a bummer. This needs to be fixed ASAP. 11.3 Beta (20E5210c), iMac Retina 5K 27-inch, 2019
(I've reset PRAM, ran Disk Utility, changed all the System Prefs including Control Center, etc but nothing brings it back)
Upgraded to beta 4. System kernel panic upon reboot.
Can't modify clock via dock in system preferences.
