On a DTK, I would like to install a macOS update on the DTK which currently has Version 11.0 Beta (20A5299w) installed.
I have tried all of the following and have never been successful:
From System Preferences, System Update:
1) Pressed "Update Now".
2) Pressed "More Info...", then "Install Now" button.
3) Details link | then "Restore Default", then repeated attempts at steps 1 and 2.
4) From developer.apple.com, Account | Downloads |
"Install Profile" for macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 RC 2.
Then run the installation app downloaded.
(this is evidently what is meant by installing the macOS Developer Beta Access Utility; not very clear instructions here).
Then repeated steps 1 to 3 above.
Failures usually occur with a message box saying
"An error occurred while downloading the selected updates. Please check your internet connection and try again."
(I have had no problems with my internet connection for anything else).
Please respond to the following:
1) Are macOS updates available for the DTK?
2) If so, please provide clear instructions on how they may be installed.
