Spotlight keeps crashing after last update (iOS 14)

After the latest update today, I keep getting Spotlight crashes:

Code Block text

Appears to be related to the Simulator, which I have to use constantly during development. This is quickly getting annoying.

Anyone else experiencing this? Any fix?

This is a Mac Mini 2018.
I'm facing the same issue.

I was using Xcode 12 before and it was working fine. The problem started to appear when I updated my Xcode and installed simulator for iPhone 12.

I have tried reinstalling Xcode 12.0 from developer portal along with developer tools for Xcode 12.0. No luck yet.

Should I go back to Xcode 11.7? Would it help?
It seems I've found a way to fix this issue! I just completely turned off "Siri and Search" in Simulator's iOS settings which I'm working with. So, this issue doesn't disturb me in Xcode Preview, Simulator. I know, that's not the best way to solve this problem but it worked for me.

Also check if the simulator and the Xcode Preview have the same device, you've just changed settings in.

Pls, write back if it works with your Xcode?
Same here, as of an hour ago. I wish I hadn't updated.
Same here,
Please fix this, developers can't work due to this issue...
Same issue after updating to Big Sur. Before that update, Simulator 12.1 hadn't caused this issue for me. Disabling Siri & Search in iOS settings didn't work.
Deleting and reinstalling Xcode via App Store has worked (so far).
Just started happening to me with catalina and xcode 12.4. I solved it by disabling spotlight:

sudo mdutil -a -i off
M1 MBP, Big Sur 11.2.1. Installed xcode and Spotlight stopped returning results.

Edit: Apologies. Posted in the wrong place. My issue is with Mac OS.
Tried all previous options in vain

I am running Xcode 12.1
Mac OSX Catalina 10.15.7
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013)
