Can MacBook Air i5,8GB RAM,256GB storage enough for iOS development?

I’m not sure if 8GB RAM is good enough to make apps in 2020. Some say yes, some say not enough and better upgrade to 16GB. I’m still learning and don’t want to spend money to get a powerful machine that I’m not capable to maximise its productivity yet.

I wouldn't spend money on any mac that only had 8GB ram. At least buy one you can upgrade. And by upgrade, I mean both ram and SSD, but why make things harder on yourself - spend that money up front and be done.

If you think you've found a good deal, think again. The constant demand for compatible hardware exists for a reason. The market knows what's worth buying and what isn't.
