On the page about The Kids Category (https://developer.apple.com/app-store/kids-apps/) there's some text that reads:
"... require a parental gate in order to link out of the app, request permissions ..."
In the App Store Review Guidelines, there's nothing about parental gates being required when requesting permissions.
We're developing an AR app that will likely be submitted to the Kids Category, and it requests permission to use the camera and save captured images to storage. These are only ever stored locally on the device, with no option in the app to share on social media, etc. We plan to have a pop-up message appear before each request explaining in simple language why we're requesting each permission.
Do we really need a parental gate preceding these permission requests?
