IOS 14 WiFi

Anyone experiencing issues with IOS 14 and wifi connectivity?
Ignoring and re-joining wifi fixed my problem.
I found workaround for this case,
at least in my home.

Go to Wifi Setting, and set DNS from Automatic to Manual.
I removed default DNS server given from my router,
and then add Google DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

Voila, the problem seems fixed.

Anyway, I believe this is not permanent solution, and I thinks not everyone iOS users understand such this technical workaround.

If this is your case, maybe you can try.... hopefully it's help.
Same problem for me. iPad Pro, iPhone 8 and iPhone XR still disconnecting at random times. All these troubles appeared after an update to 14.1. I tried about all the solutions proposed on this forum but nothing is working...
Yes, every time I turn on my phone (iPhone XR) it shows that I’m using LTE and when trying to use something it says that there is no wifi. I’ve tried to rest the connection but to no avail. iOS 14 really messed up my connection to the wifi. I hope this gets fixed soon because it’s really annoying 😡.
Hi Team. I got the same issue after upgrading iOS to 14.2
I've tried to reset network settings and all the hints regarding DNS and Private address above...

But in my case the solution was to change the settings of the Access Point (Router). I switched the encryption from "WPA2 (CCMP)" to "WPA2+WPA3" and WiFi it works again.

I hope it might help some of you
Thanks to swardoyo and SidSloth for the suggestions! Unfortunately, the DNS change didn't help and my router (Netgear Orbi RBR50) does not have an option for "WPA2/WPA3" which is the default selection for wireless networks on IOS14 (may have been that way before too, never bothered to check as it just worked). Although I cannot validate what was present on my phone before updating to 14.x, I have an old iPhone 5s running 12.4.8 and WPA2 by itself is an option and this phone has no issue with internet connectivity.

My guess would be something to do with the WPA2/WPA3 security type currently set on IOS (could have been present before, not sure) and the lack of the option on my specific router.

I have an email into Netgear for some insight. Fingers crossed as this is impactful - cell reception in my area is not good so WiFi is used for calls.

Thanks for the support and insight everyone, it is greatly appreciated!
As an update for my specific scenario, I did change the security option on my router to WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] and now connectivity to the internet seems stable. My theory may hold some water but curious what others are seeing.
Yes I am too facing the same problem. My iPhone 7 keeps randomly disconnecting to the WiFi since the time I have updated to iOS 14. This is so frustrating specially when it’s an emergency. The time when the internet is most need, right at that time the WiFi isn’t working. No issue with the internet or WiFi router in the house as other WiFi enabled devices are working perfectly fine. @Apple please fix this problem ASAP #Apple #NeedHelp 🙏🏻
Same problem. REALLY frustrating. The cell phone service where I live is horrible so I depend on Wifi calling. Its an average between 3 - 5 minutes and the call gets dropped. Trying to make a service call, they had to keep calling me back. I've gone 8-12 with having to call someone in a conversation. For the first time, someone told me to get a different phone and I'll admit I'm tempted to after this issue and the lack of fixing it in a timely manner. Just rollback the revision so we can make calls again!
I have been having the same problem too! Recently after updating my XR to iOS 14.2, I’ve been having wifi connection issues on my phone. I never had this type of problem for almost a year. I had to literally restart my phone at least 5 times so that my phone would be able to connect with the internet. When it doesn’t connect to the wifi, my data on LTE stops working too. I believe this is an issue with the new update on the phone because like I said, I never had this problem before. Please fix this ASAP as it’s getting very frustrating!!!!
Having similar problems. WLAN disconnects when roaming at my workplace. After waking the phone, it takes quite a while to reconnect. this has started happening since ios 14.x ...and is definetely not fixed with 14.2.
This is going to be a disaster if it isnt fixed soon, we depend on wifi for calls on our premises (using cisco jabber).
Also this is using airwatch MDM deployed Wifi profile (WPA-Enterprise with Certificate based auth). So the issue is not (only) in WPA2 PSK or something.
I finally figured out what was going on with my network connection and MAC address filtering on my router.

There is apparently a new feature in IOS 14 called PRIVATE ADDRESS. It is found under Settings -> WI-FI -> <Your Network Name>. This setting can be turned ON and OFF and assigns a unique MAC ADDRESS for your device on a particular network that is independent of the hardware Wi-Fi MAC address found under Settings -> General -> About -> Wi-Fi Address. Private Address is supposed to limit how your device can be tracked across networks.

I tuned OFF Private Address for all devices on my home network and turned MAC Filtering back ON in my router and now everything appears to working as before. I know this may not solve your particular issue, but it's something to be aware of. I knew nothing of this new feature until I started poking around in Settings trying to get some more clues about what was going on in my particular scenario.

The problem with this feature (in my case) is that it is ON by default and apparently active when you get the HELLO / Set-up screen in IOS. I had this situation after the upgrade to IOS 14, so no matter what I did, I could not sign into my home network during the upgrade and log into iCloud.

As I mentioned, this is probably not related to the larger issue being discussed on this forum, but I wanted to share this information for those who might be curious.

Have a nice day.
Same for me. When I lock the phone or sometimes randomly, the WiFi disconnects and I have to turn it on manually from the settings. Please fix it
Updated to iOS 14 and still hasn’t fixed the issue
Yes, Apple PLEASE fix this issue! Ever since iOS 14 updates, my iPhone will literally not even load some of my apps due to “connectivity” or “internet connection” problems. It’s infuriating! iPhone and all apps worked perfectly fine before this update, so I would love to roll back the update if possible.
