Hello,
I wonder whether it is require to have an app to develop a widget. In the documentation it says that it is an extension to an app, but is it possible to just create a widget without an app?

A widget is a kind of app extension, and therefore must be deployed within an app.

You need an app because a widget needs to get its data from somewhere, right? So no, you cannot make a widget without the app, but hey, at least there is an option to hide apps in ios 14!
