Can App Clips be launched from 3rd party apps?

App clip invocations are limited to what's listed in the documentation. To share an app clip in social media apps, people could share a link to a website that displays a Smart App Banner. They could then launch the app clip from by tapping the Smart App Banner.

Understood. Most social media apps use their own in-app browsers. Do Smart App Banners show up inside of WKWebViews, or SFViewControllers?

Are there any plans to allow 3rd party apps to launch App Clips in the future?

Would be really cool to be able to have multiple app clips on a single app. In our app, we have multiple different product flows i.e. renting a car or hailing a cab. These are inherently different and we would want to also open these clips from different places. For example, the car rental one would be great to associate with our stations on apple maps, whereas the ride hailing might make sense to show on banners at airports or train stations. If we would want to provide a clip that features all of product funnels we run into size limitations quite fast.

The smart app banner shows up in Safari and SFSafariViewController, not in WKWebView.
