Xcode UI test - UI Testing Failure - Failed to scroll to visible (by AX action) when tap on Search field "Cancel' button

I am trying to dismiss the search field by tapping 'Cancel' button in search bar.

The test case is failing to find the cancel button. It was working fine in Xcode 7.0.1. This issue is happening with Xcode 7.1 and later.

I have added predicate to wait for button to appear. The test case is failing when we tap of "cancel" button

let button = app.buttons[“Cancel”]
let existsPredicate = NSPredicate(format: "exists == 1")

expectationForPredicate(existsPredicate, evaluatedWithObject: button, handler: nil)
waitForExpectationsWithTimeout(5, handler: nil)

button.tap() // Failing here

The same error occurs when trying to test photo library access using UI Test. The Choose button cannot be tapped because it is not hittable (it exists, and is clearly visible, but it is not hittable).

Please make sure to file a bug report so that we can investigate this issue! Thanks.

I have already filed a bug report on this and two other issues. Haven't heard back yet on them, though.

Any info about the bug ? I am facing the same issue no matter what Xcode version I use. Currently using Xcode 10.0.
