I busted my **** to have my game ready in time for launch, but now that I see the app store, it seems I shouldn't have bothered. If your app isn't featured, the only way people can find it is by searching by name, using that onscreen keyboard. You can't even browse or search by genre or price, and of course Siri doesn't work with the app store or the keyboard. I've seen a review that complained about the same thing (The Verge I think). This definitely needs fixing.
The app store interface needs a lot of work, it is horrible for app discovery
I have no App Store yet, but your app appears in the global search results.
Thanks guys!

Sure you do, all you have to do is restore your Apple TV using iTunes and it will appear.
At least the person who mocked-up that App Store screen shot in Photoshop had the right idea.
It's because Apple doesn't want to be embarrassed by the lack of content. There are so few apps on the store that if they showed categires a lot of them would have 1 or 2 apps and that looks really bad. By not showing categories the reviewers/journalist can only see what Apple shows them and that's the featured page so it looks like there are a lot of good apps.
It ***** but that's the reason, lack of content.
3DTVs, wow very nice? what the name of the games? (send me please the names or promo codes 😀 - society [@] djnews24 dot net)
I don't think there are that few apps that categories would be a problem. Besides, haivng NO apps only makes it look even worse. If they were concerned about short Category lists then they should have temporarily put all of the apps in an alphabetical list if nothing else.

Yes, we put 3DTV support in Bugdom 2, Air Wings, Otto Matic, Nanosaur 2, and Nucleus. It's a crazy-cool feature, so I'm shocked that Apple didn't feature a single one of them. Not as shocked, however, as I am finding out there's zero way for anyone to discover these apps 😟

Maybe the Siri Remote has put some Devs off porting or creating games, or even the fail rate of apps and games not using the Menu button in a Apple way.
Either way when this all started out I thought Controller ! games & more games that could be ported from other platforms very easy.
Still... it is still early day's but Apple need to make a stand on the controller issue to get more games & not more Flappy Bird clones.
Ironcically, Flappy Bird is one of the featured apps. Sad when that junk gets featured, and something of substance isn't.

Unless you got a DEV Kit from the second round, which did NOT include a USB-C Cable, thus making it impossible to restore. Also today no app store and the test flight icon is gone. 😟
What I do not understand is why people are so negative with a Store that has only a few hours of life...
What's there not to understand? We put a lot of work into getting our apps ready for launch day. It's now launch day and our apps are invisible.

No disrespect, but if you didn't buy/acquire a USB-C cable, then how did you develop/debug your app for the new hardware?
This, and the suspicion that the currently featured "blocky hero walks / jumps across a gradient" apps are racking up downloads that will ultimately factor into the rankings. Meanwhile, our apps are standing still.
