Is it too late to learn Swift? I'm 35. Never programmed before. I have an app I have spent hundreds of hours on in specification. But I'm terrified outsourcing overseas. I'm also too poor to hire someone State Side. Help me!

Any pointers or advice much appreciated.

You're never too old to learn stuff if you have any aptitude for it. (Programming requires a certain linear mind set and good attention to detail.)

Try it out and see. Apple has pretty good guides and samples, for example Getting Started

Ray Wenderlich tutorials, Read the documentation and Swift eBooks (free from Apple), YouTube videos, Stack Overflow, etc. You have many options - plus these forums and perhaps email lists. Google Plus groups. Start small and learn as you go - learn how to add one more thing each time.

me: 35 as well. done some HTML and PHP programming, but not a programmer.

I just started with Rob Percivals iOS 9 course on Udemy a month ago, and now I'm almost done, and feel ready to start programming from scratch myself.

Also a lot of good hints at Ray Wenderlich site etc.

I got the Udemy course for around 10 USD, so look out for deals like that (I believe thats 90% off)

Nope.

I am almost 50 myself and was self taught, with just a lot more highway behind me than you. Met a gentleman older than me at the Apple Watch labs who had just started working with his kid.

Plus if you start now and keep it up as a hobby, good chance it will help keep your mind agile as you age.

Good luck!

I am 75 and I have learned iOS for the last 2 years, now I have 6 apps on Apple App Store: DCAvg, QRCode++, Currency++, TextScanner++ and bNotes. It keeps me young and good for my health.
